Key Terms
Divine Nine - The divine nine is America's nine black fraternities and sororities. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. They are a unique and vital part of African American history.
Sorority/Fraternity - The terms "fraternity" and "sorority" (from the Latin words frater and soror, meaning "brother" and "sister" respectively) may be used to describe many social and charitable organizations.
HBCU- Historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) are institutions of higher education in the United States that were established before 1964 with the intention of serving the African American community
African American History - African American history is the portion of American history that specifically discusses the African American or Black American ethnic group in the United States.
Honorary- given for honor only, without the usual requirements, duties, privileges, emoluments.

Ms. Fossum , please dont hate me but I am changing my project , because my topic was to opioninated and when I present it to my panel , i dont want to be presenting to them things they already know. I am changing my project to What is the Divine Nine and how has it impacted the college experience for Pittsburgh Greeks?

I need help !!!! Today I called Brian R. Foltz who is the director of Allegheny Youth Department , he works with teenage boys and i set up an interview for us to meet. I know that i wanted to go to a middle school and have a discussion , but i also wanted to go to a highschool other than City High I am not sure exactly what to do.Today i also looked for other people that i could interview for my documentary.

Today in class I printed out my action plan and turned it in to Ms. Fossum and then I searched the internet for programs that would help me out with my topic. I also, searched for books that I could use for my topic also, Ms. Williams helped me out with that.
